The Crusade for Safe Motherhood Initiative (CSMI) is a non-profit organization committed to addressing the high rates of maternal mortality in Nigeria, particularly in rural and underserved areas where access to healthcare is limited. We aim to empower pregnant women with life-saving resources, including access to trained healthcare providers, essential medical equipment, and education on safe pregnancy and childbirth practices. By collaborating with local communities, healthcare professionals, and government bodies, SMI seeks to create lasting solutions to prevent maternal deaths, improve health infrastructure, and advocate for better maternal care policies

Reduce Maternal Mortality:

CSMI aims to significantly reduce the number of maternal deaths in underserved and rural areas by improving access to quality maternal healthcare, ensuring safe delivery, and addressing complications related to pregnancy and childbirth.

Improve Access to Skilled Healthcare:

One of CSMI’s primary goals is to ensure that pregnant women in remote and underserved areas have access to skilled healthcare professionals, including doctors, midwives, and nurses, for safe and healthy childbirth.

Enhance Maternal Health Awareness:

Through educational programs, SMI aims to raise awareness about the importance of prenatal and postnatal care, nutrition, family planning, and early detection of complications, empowering women to make informed decisions about their health.
